User-Contributed Transcription from him. Father and Mary E came down to see me the next day after he got home, guess I was a little bit glad to see him, was very sorry to hear that you had been sick, hope you have got well by this, I went up home last Saturday, and father has promised to come after me again in about four weeks, I keep school every other Saturday. I can go home Friday night and so make quite a visit; I do wish I had those books I didn't get when at your house, have you read any more of David Copperfield? If so, report progress when you write will you?Suppose father told you all about our farm in Minnesota. I cannot realise that we are to go so soon. I went in imagination the other night and was very homesick; but "Drams always go by contraries" you know, I have some idea of coaxing father to leave me on the farm if he does not-sell. Think Bose and I could manage it? By the way Bose came down to see me when father did and I could keep him out of the schoolhouse which pleased the young uns much. My school will close the 10th of August if it keeps but eleven weeks I have got some acquainted with the Fullers, very pleasant people.Write soon as you receive this would you, the mail does not go but once a week from here, goes down Tuesday and up Wednesday, so I shall have to wait till next week for an answer be sure not to disappoint me then. Make John write to me if you see him. I want to know what Sammy? is doing. Give my love to marm. Crosby and Marggy. have you got that box made? yours affect Bell Furber
