User-Contributed Transcription The work on 7th Street (my contract) has been measured, although not completed, it gives me about $2400, when I shall collect it is altogether uncertain, but it will draw 30 per cent interest until paid.I am glad to have you write about Percie, how much I want to see him, I am glad that he likes to go to school, but do not think it well for him to be urged to study, or excited in relation to it in any way, unless he should be inclined to show an aversion to it, however I feel that you torn manuscript as well or better than I can torn manuscript to pursue with him, I know it torn manuscript that boys are not so likely to become vain of fine clothing as are girls, but when they do so become they appear much more silley and contemptable, I suppose you have have heard the anecdote of the lady who asked her Minister if he thought it an evidence of pride for a person to dress well, his reply was, "when you find a fox hole, and the fox's tail sticking out, be sure the fox is in the hole," We have been having beautifull weather for 7 or 8 weeks past, it is now beginning to feel cold, and I fear cold weather before torn manuscript
