User-Contributed Transcription I have written to Francis Wyman in that I cannot allow my Scaler to be insulted while in the discharge of his duty I have heard of the conduct of his brothers in the woods, I want to call to your attention particularly to their case and don't you allow them to beat you in the slightest manner & dont alter your scale on account of it. If they do not cut their logs right you must see the choppers. You asked me in your last letter if I wished you to get an a/e of the Stumpage cut on LR9 or 2 R 9? last summer. I do want you to attend itA man by the name of Fiske is cutting on the South 1/2 of LR6 or 1 R 6?.
