User-Contributed Transcription Dear Brother and Sister Metcalf.It is with much grief and sorrow that I also learn of the death of your beloved Mother: for although I can claim no relationship to her, yet I had seen and known enough of her, to love and esteem her very muchAs I have had no mother to love on earth for many years, my heart had been drawn towards her, with strong affectionI had been looking forward with much pleasure to the time when I should see her again, praying that she might be spared a little longer: but the 'Lord' has ordered it otherwise ("He doth all things well") and while we mourn for ourselves let us all strive more earnestly to match the loved ones in that better world there to dwell forever with the LordWith much loveEliza K.?
