Would'nt trouble about stockings and gloves - wear them if you want, or send them home again. Sam - excuse me - Mr. Furber is going to Bangor tomorrow probably - so we write a bit and send pants, which were all completed last week. A pair of the raw material deposited in the pocket of each pr for the unfortunates who purchase and wear the same to mend with. You may recommend them as the man did for his Gum all chewed in his own family! Albina wants all you have to make. She is in a great rage to get Charles' debts paid. Nobody has been after your horse - but C. Says you better not let him go on trial, he is so ugly - contrary but put in a team might work well. Very high spirited. What think you of poor Pres. Shepherd? Alas! "There's many a slip" etc. Rather mortifying and vexatious really though, wasn'nt it?
