User-Contributed Transcription Dear Brother Jos. Have but a moment to write, but beg you to accept my thanks for your nice and generous present, which came duly to hand last Tues. evening. Very much I thank you my brother. I know not whether circumstances are such as to render it proper, - if that you will please judge for yourself - but I will venture to invite you to bring Miss More home with you, the 17th of May next. We will be happy to see her if you think proper to extend to her, and she to accept such an invitation. Rec'd a letter from Isaac last night. Says he shall be here. No more time - good night Aff. - sister Lucy. Issac wishes me to get shoulder braces and I am very certain they would be very beneficial. Will you inquire if they are to be obtained in Bangor & if there is enough left of what Isaac sent, procure a pair. In his last letter he sent another V because I used the other partly to get his shirts. I intend to return it to him.
