User-Contributed Transcription Milo Nov. 30th 1845.Dear Brother We rec'd the bundle in due season, as you will percieve by the letter I send to Ann; and Friday night last past, Charles brought home a "sheepish" letter from you. Very acceptable however, notwithstanding it savored considerably of Mutton. The business part of the letter I shall leave for Charles to answer, and attend only to the portion that concerned myselfl vis. "L. must write me a letter. I want it." Charles has been going to Bangor for the last fortnight & I have written a long letter to Ann to send by him, but don't expect he will go now before Thanksgiving. How I wish you "absent ones" were all to be here. Seems to me we could be more thankful if you were. Mr. Stineford was buried yesterday. Had been sick only five days, Lung fever. It was his request to have Mr. Averill attend the funeral, but he could not come so Mr. Rowell preached. Mr. R. preached here today. Has been hired 1/4 the time for a year. He has improved much since I heard him three years ago, and there still is room! Quite a full meeting today. I am glad if any preacher can call people out. Col. Lee has recieved a letter from Daniel Holman requesting dismission from this church and a Reccommendation to Hammond St. The church voted accordingly today. How the Members if our little church are dropping away one after another. Do you & Eliab intend to ask a dismission from this Church? I suppose
