User-Contributed Transcription Tuesday Evening Oct 3 1848Brother Isaac You will pardon me for not writing you before this. I might give many excuses but as none of them would satisfy me I shall forbear to make them. My business this season affords but little variety the same routine of cares and vexations with close confinement I find to be more fatiguing than physical labor with less care, but I do that which will pay the biggest dollars for then you know are what we are all seeking afterFriday Eve 6th Oct Guess you will think it takes me a long while to write, since I began we have rec'd a letter sister Ann She is at times very decidedly homesick if she had not so fully actermined upon her course she would even now come back I think, she never felt what it was to go from all friends untill after she left us, I think, however should her health be good that she may received much benefit from her tour. We also rec'd a letter from Olive last Eve from Lowell, she started from there the 4th inst. she goes in company with James Purinson. I hope when these sisters of our get home again they will be better contented to stop with us . And now brother & if you ever wish to enjoy yourself get married as soon as you get ready but do not wait too long to get ready, I shall insist upon being competent to advise you in this matter, I've no doubt but that you really enjoyed your self much now see a great deal of very pleasant and entertaining
