User-Contributed Transcription about house most of the time. I have been to church but once since you went from here - I went one evening with Sam'l to see the "Seven mile mirror" - truly well worth seeing - the view of the "thousand isles" alone would have well repaid me for the trouble and fatigue. Sarah Harlow is engaged to Mr. Marsh, one of the students. Prof. Shepards excellent thanksgiving sermon upon Maine is to be published - We shall send you a copy. His test was "The lives are fallen to us in pleasant places &c." I am sorry Samuel is not at home, Isaac, to write what you wish about lumber, steam power &c. He will do it soon after he returns. Lissie Doe has just popped in from Glenburn to spend the sabbath - so I will send this right along, as Jane is going down to the office tonight. It is fine cold weather tonight. Samuel is going to have a horse and a real handsome pung this winter, so I expect to take comfort riding when he is at home - In haste and with much loveSister Lucy.
