I know it was hard and unpleasant for her, and to feel that friends who are with you are not so happy as you would have them; from whatever cause, is not pleasant. On my part, I was extremely happy that she could be here so long, and hope & expect that she will come again when you come East next winter, when we will hope for nice cozy times together. Mallie's sister had laughed her out of name, Energine. She has about decided to call it Mary Whiting after the other sister. I want to write to both & each of you in particular, but can only give one for both this time. Percie is about as much trouble now as when he was sick - and I get very little time. It is evening now, and I must write to Anna tonight. Almeda wrote to Albina that she would rather her husband would be gone away five years, than
