User-Contributed Transcription shopping this forenoon - quarterly maternal meeting this P.M. but we were too tired to go. Marie walked up here & back yesterday I walked down street today but rode home. Hattie brought me some nice plants & bulbs. She is a whole team - I feel perfectly easy about Maria now. Gertie is improving daily. I want to hear very often how you all are - do let me, won't you? How very very sad about Mr. Rider - Why did he let those bungling doctors do it for him? I have not had a letter from Almeda for a long time. I have written to send by Mrs. Sewall. I neglected to get it into the Office yesterday. What a sad, sad prospect for them. Have you heard of Mary Pomroys death - She had been sick a long time at her father's, but was considered better & had gone to her husband at N.Y. She was exceedingly nervous & childish during her illness. You have undoubtedly heard of Dea. Adams
