User-Contributed Transcription go on the bed as long, all day. Yesterday I stepped three steps up alone, but my back &limbs are very weak. With Isaac's short letter last sat. might came one from Mother and Anna - they think now of starting the middle of this month, stopping a day in Boston, visiting Dunbarton. please don't tease them to stay thee long - you can't know how I want & have wanted my Mother. Caddie is ever so good - a sister could hardly have been kinder than she since I have been sick, but when feeling so miserable so long, to have nobody else to speak to, sometimes I did "groan earnestly" as Mr. Macomber used to say - Mallie & Hattie came up often as they could, but having no girl & neither of them very well this spring, it is not very often. The great trouble with me now is that my food distresses me.
