User-Contributed Transcription bottom & drawn at the top with a small string so as to look like a piping, till he was three or four months old, - has worn waists since, as he grew out of his slips. His winter dresses are made with waists) at the top, form little plaits laid over & stitched down to form the shoulder strap. The waists are full, with a belt, guaged about a quarter of an inch above & below the belt, and below the band at the neck. The sleeves and bottom of the skirt are also buttonholed in scollops with saddler's silk. They look cunningly pretty, albeit 'tis a good deal of work to make them, and I think I should eschew embroidery next time. After babies get just as big as ours are now, I think waists look prettier than slips; and I suppose Isaac as well as yourself will allow that to look pretty is of great importance! Do you make long sleeves? I did not but have almost repented since, though short ones do look prettier. How do you make sa'ques? If your baby drools as Percie has, he must wear
