User-Contributed Transcription Bangor Nov. 23 1852 Bangor Nov. 23d / 52Dear Mother Lucy and I have been considering much about you coming so as to make the calculations needful, about our own visits there, and we have come to the conclusion that you had better come right down with Charles in a week or two,- let Charles get Mary Kittredge to come and stay while with Albina and you take your sewing & fixing in your hand and just transport it hither, nothing will prevent your doing just what you like all the day long: by this course, you can come without expense, could come quickly and probably more comfortably then when it is colder weather - all important results & reasons: - then Lucy an go and make her visit of a week or two while Sam'l is gone into the woods, at Milo and Brownville, - after that, I can go up a while. you staying here with Lucy: you can be truly comfortable here and have time to do anything you want to about your clothes and I will help you. Jane is to stay at home and can do most all the work, except cooking, - if you wait till a month hence before you come - the winter will be half gone and I should leave almost as soon as you get here to make my visits at Almeda's and at Milo. I want to see[left-hand side] occupations are such at present that we both need you. Do not demur, but pick up your things and come with Charles. I want much to see the baby - much love to all - - in great haste as usual. Lucy.
