User-Contributed Transcription We are in daily expectation of having news, from Milo. Please write it as soon as convenient. Anne and I went up to Glenburn to see Lizzie Doe one afternoon last week - we talked of keeping right on up to Milo. I have decided that I shall have no time to work on rug carpets this winter, so I am going to send what rags I have already served by the first opportunity, and I wish you would engage Mrs. Sargent to weave them. They will make two or three "strips," which will be convenient for various purposes, - so the store of rags you sent me, you had better take back again & make into a "hit or miss" rug, I guess. Samuel bought a dozen real pretty tea knives at auction for $2.00, almost as good as new, such as they ask $5.00 for. Please inform me if you can how much and what kind of stuff I had better get for warp. I have 10 lbs of rags. Samuel & Eliab have each taken a pair of your gloves. The rest Samuel thinks he can dispose of. I took one pr of stockings for Jane. Anne took the other. Such will not sell here. Please do write often. We are worried because you have no good stove in your room. Afraid you are not comfortable. If any of you have any more biddies' wings than you want to use, please save me a few. In haste. good byeLucy.
