User-Contributed Transcription Bangor Nov. 1852 Dear Mother We think it is time to have another letter from you or at least we want to hear very much, If you can afford time from your labours of housecleaning and the like. I hope Albina has succeeded in this in engaging some reliable help. I wish you would write more particulars about all the matters of the house, people, children etc. I think you and A. did well in your visiting tour: we are all too little inclined to be social and neighbourly. Charles and Albina especially because more shut out, from social intercourse with other humanities & believe both of them would be happier and more useful better parents, friends and neighbours if they mixed more in a genial way with their kind, - if they could, every now and then, feel the beat of the "public pulse." Does Charles read those Happer's? Lucy and I take them together now, and we have with mine that are there half a year of nos. i.e. one volume which Samuel means to get bound. So will you all please re-read and send them down when there is convenient opportunity. We have not heard whether Almeda likes her shawl, or whether she got it in season to wear of from Brownville - half the distance to Dover, or whether she took it going along. Did the children's aprons fit well?[left-hand side] We like E. Jenks very much- a perfect lady - spending some weeks at her cousins here.
