User-Contributed Transcription Lucy Bangor June 29 '54 Bangor June 29-1854Dear Mother & Sister It is a dear day just warm enough & just cold enough - four o'clock P.M. I have hardly sat down before today - Mallie is taking a bath and a nap up stairs (she has not been so well as usual for a few days, & if there was anybody to do it, would I think be waited upon, & in reality - ought to be, instead of trying to do for me.) Nettie is sleeping in the parlor on the sofa with Carry in the carriage by her side, Percie has just gone to sleep in the bedroom. Sabra & Mary have gone strawberrying. My back and all about me does ache bit I am troubled because we have not written before, so I will try to send a little tomorrow. We have had queer times since we came[left-hand side] got to settle for eggs, butter etc. when at Milo. Percie is in my lap struggling & fretting good bye Aff. Lucy.
