User-Contributed Transcription Bangor June 4 1853 Bangor June 4 - 1853.Dearest Mother & all dear ones, I find myself writing again because my thoughts are so much with you that they want to run off the end of my pen, & send themselves in wordy shape to your eyes. I do not know what I shall do if I don't get a letter from some of you tonight. I am so anxious to know all the particulars of Lucy's sickness, its course etc. and how you all are now. After dinner - just as I had got so far I had to attend to the baby & before I found time to write again, Samuel came bringing your letter, & Mr. Bradeen to dinner. The letter was dear good, what there was of it, but I want more particulars about dear Lucy. did Almeda think that studying causes her sickness? Mrs. Lee came down in the stage Thursday, called a moment supposing I had not heard of Lucy's death, but I persuaded her to spend the night & take the stage from here to Bucksport which[left-hand side] You ought at least to send love to Maria when you write
