User-Contributed Transcription gave them the bundle & is not coming down. I am very sorry, but will try to send up the firkin in the morning before he goes. I expected him, and fixed the bed all up nice on purpose. My cold is better, though I am very hoarse. Nothing new in Ann's letter to me, so I'll not send it. Much obliged for your cabbages etc. Will attend to Joseph's requests soon as I can. Everett says in his letter to Isaac "I suppose you could get me to go to Dunbarton for you if you will give me a message or anything which will serve as an excuse or reason for calling. Will you try it? I believe all the clergymen and their families in the region round about are well." Am very glad to hear so favorable an account from Milo meetings etc. especially little Lucy. I am alone in the kitchen fire most out. Must go see the folks now - good night good night --do do do write often. Affectionately Lucy.I don't know who opened Dole's letters, spose twas Eliab.
