Summary Deposition, Jan. 22, 1666, of John Page of Groton, Mass., taken and signed by Thomas Danforth, assistant in the Massachusetts General Court, regarding the sale of liquor to the Indians by Richard Blood, also of Groton. Page testifies that he and Samuel Davis, not believing an Indian's report of Blood's activities, had the Indian obtain liquor from Blood in a marked bottle. Blood, Page, and Davis were all original proprietors of Groton, and Blood and Page had held various town offices, including selectman, surveyor, and constable. The case was probably heard by the Middlesex County Court.
