User-Contributed Transcription Tuesday eve. Nov. 28th Dear brotherThe bundle you have heard of so many times, I hope you will receive as soon as soon as you do this, but you will find it to consist only of the pair of sale pants, and your cloth of which Mother says, get your pantaloons made right up as soon as possible no matter about paying Mr. Fox "down" but you can wait till you sell the pants or it can wail till Charles goes with the butter, turkeys or something if we could have had the cloth one day sooner we could have sent it by Mr. Thomas last week: but you have spoken with Mr. Fox about your work beforehand you can have your pantaloons in a short time and your jacket you can bring, (cut) to be made here. Charles broke the bones badly of his middle finger of left hand by a stone falling on it, while underpinning the barn shed: he put the bones in place himself, and then went to the doctor and got it bandaged: it does not pain him much, but he wont be able to use it any, for two or three weeks, but he makes out to fix the barn some, with Eliab to wait upon him We had a very violent rain-storm yesterday, which has raised the river most to the gardendifferent handwriting: Dear son N.?. we can and do give you ever so many directions but after all you must act your own judgment and according to to circumstances I am knitting you some mitten and going to knit a pair of worsted gloves but cannot send them before you'll be home & some suspenders but if you want some now you had better buy some
