In reading we want her not to be too desultory but have at least one well-selected book to be reading in course: if she can read aloud evenings it will be an excellent thing for her. I think it will be well for her to go where opportunity favors - She is at the age to be benefitted by going into company with older persons She must be her own judge in general of what money she can spend but Mallie & you will of course direct in the best expenditure - she can dress well when desirable but wear out old dresses ?
