The various topics of your letters, so interesting, I would gladly talk about , speaking, of Charles, his two boys, how much I want to see them. how glad I am that he enjoys so much quiet happiness; of Almeda and her children, the importance of a present right course and right habits for them to get them to act their parts; of Lucy, school, fitting dress for her which I should enjoy having a hand in; of the new house too, of Mother's staying at Bangor and especially of your health but without attempting to write anything about all these things about which I should so love to talk with you, I will first be quite an egotist, and tell over all I can think of respecting my humble self having since my last, experienced the tedious parade of an examination and the delightful freedom and leisure, of a week's vacation, during which I fitted and made a dress for myself, a pretty all wool delaine of which I sent a bit that you may see how pretty it is ,47 per yard��; at first it seemed a little juvenile for staid me, but it is a very becoming colour for me and pink is beginning to be much worn by adults as well as children.
