My dear Ben.

We think it better that we should go back to New York and that I should return in October for the picture, I gather you will not be ready to start before then and in the meantime I can settle up my affairs there and I should not have the double rents, and the car etc.,

Nothing will induce me not to return for the picture Specter of the Rose and I shall be brokenhearted if you ever let anybody else play the part. I am really counting on it and looking forward to it more then I can say and you know I agree to any arrangement you want to make.

I have no way of telling you how grateful I am about the story and you have been so kind and shown such true friendship in the whole matter, and I appreciate it more deeply that you will know.

My love to you and Rosie.
