Biographical/Historical Note
Christina Ernst began dancing in Switzerland, where she performed with the Zurich Opera, before moving to the United States in 1977. As a choreographer, collaborator, and performer, she has worked with various Chicago dance and performance companies including Chicago Opera Theater, the Goodman Theatre, Chicago Repertory Dance Ensemble, and the MoMing Dance and Arts Center.
She was the co-director and creator of Ernst/Watson Dance, an internationally touring company that blended jazz and modern dance, and is currently the co-artistic director of the Evanston Dance Ensemble.
