Description Tracing made ca. 1850 by historian Pierre Margry from 1670 manuscript map by Sulpician missionary Rene Brehan de Galinee, who accompanied Robert Cavelier, Sieur de La Salle for part of his 1669 expedition.

Report translated in James H. Coyne, Exploration of the Great Lakes by Dollier de Casson and De Brehant de Galinee (Ontario Historical Society Papers and records v. 4, 1903); includes description of variant ms. copies and reproductions of the map and English translations of notes appearing on map.
Map title from Coyne, p. 78.
Pen-and-ink and pencil; drawn on three leaves of tracing paper pasted together and backed by heavy paper.
