Several of my friends, whose critical judgment I value, have said intelligent things about my books, & I am pretty well satisfied with that! I am not at all sure that, as you say, any notice is better than none--But don't let me deter you from wanting notices! I liked your review of Farrell's book very much--I'm glad your novel--They Seek a City--is being revised & republished--& most happy that The Disinherited is having a continental sale. Those Seven Seas books--I have seen quite a few of them in London--By the way Arnold Wesker's new play, "Their Very Own Golden City" is to be
