My dear Mr. Anderson,
I am sending you my "Autobiography of a Tom Cat" for I heard that you wanted to see it. I wrote it when I was twelve years old so that now when I look it over, it seems very funny. It was an honor for me to hear that you are interested in it, and I hope you won't be too bored. As my English teacher would say in her sophisticated way: - "It has no plot."
It was nice to have you at our home, and I am only too sorry that I had to leave so soon, but I hope you will come here again.
