User-Contributed Transcription Blake 52603-3dF&T-2-a quiet serene place, blessed refuge from the hurly-burly of the 'Rocks.' Across from this, the visitor's park, dotted with quaint open pavillions, rather like an English resort, where the military band (in which I play dogmatic, downright bass drum) plays every day at noon.Such then is my home, and like a skeptical house cat in new quarters, I still experience some small differenlty in settling in. To that end, I'm attempting to get into a two-man cell, where I'll be able to continue work on the book. That entails a certain amount of what made the mare go, but I'll not bug you with it. I miss your letters very much, it is ineffably dreary not getting mail.I've written Doef Loeb the law-man in an effort to enlist his aid in collecting some money due me from my rap-partner, who went off once again to the luxury of Jax. Presuming to a degree, I know, but needs must when necessity knocks. It's ironic that I'll probably leave here a better musician than I came, when as far as the music racket goes, I've had it.Regards to Bud, the warmest, and a nod to his equine friends. Now please, pause in your mad pursuits, sister mine, to lay a line on me.Heard from Gert and Paul about Conroy's now. Deeply regrettable - Jack is so rare and radiant a spirit.ever,JimJames BlakeBox 221Raiford, Fla.52603 - 3d F&T
