User-Contributed Transcription -2-is caterpillar-soft, Doctor. Do you think we're ready for the Bear?[Kimian?] sounds a shade querulous these days. She's doing in New Orleans what she did on W. Madison, angling in some dime-lit deadfall, which always has a tendency to jiggle her focus, with the result that she comes on which an air of general banditry to friends and foes alike. In a recent letter she gave Maurie too much credit. He never had such material to work with.I've decided to stay with this thing through the winter, both for loot and because I want to learn it thoroughly. But this positive or head-on approach as a way of life is eventually not for me. I want something with a little more slant, and I like to operate out of a crouch. I've got an idea that this kind of job would make a wonderful front for maneuvering around in down in dear old Dixie. What I mean is I want a re-match.Yrs.,BLP.S. I forgot to say that I'll definitely be in Chicago Nov. 3 for a couple of daysBe wonderful to see you, astringent one. Shall we foregather?
