Since then I've been thinking about you and wanting to say something of comfort, yet here I've been sitting with heavy hand, and pen almost imobile [sic], as I know no words with which to soothe or comfort you. Sad enough this unhappy world without such unnecessary waste and loss. I am so sorry. I never met your boy Tom but heard from others that he was a fine and sensitive person. I look upon Harry and often ponder over the complete selflessness of the man and How he lives only for his children. Are all parents like that? If so what a great loss of oneself
