Summary Above the text is an art deco style image of the a male (Mercury?) encircled by sixteen stars with a wreathe on his head and winged feet receiving a beam of light from above in his right hand and dispensing it downwards with his left. The image symbolizes the use of the light from the star Arcturus to switch on the the main lights at the opening of the Exposition in 1933. Framing the text on the top and the bottom is a row of colors representing the color spectrum of light.
