User-Contributed Transcription pencilled in top margin  (see Wagoner, David for original letter)Dear Jack,  Thursday evening didn't end for us where we left you - not even when David finally got me on the train, hiding behind my sun-glasses.  Numb for a little over an hour - then hungry, so to the dining car.  And what in the kitchen but an Indian!  Too, what was sitting across from me but a Catholic sister - went to bed immediately upon arrival in Hartford City.  Don't need to say that the near Northside was quite an experience for me - have tried to tell David all I was thinking and feeling, but am too close to it in time still to say anything very intelligent - nearest is a strange combination of pity and fear and repulsion. Am thankful David is David and Jack is Jack - that I was with the two of you.  already, too, am looking forward to and hoping for the next time the three of us are together again - three beautiful people.  Wonderful situation - and faces - in "Tight little Island An excellent film in spots - thank heaven it came from England rather than Hollywood - suggest a quick scotch and soda and  Villa ?Yabbos? immediately after.  Help me keep close to David when you two are together.  Jack - speak to him of our evening together, and smile about it - then plan on another one. --My love - Betts Arensman
