User-Contributed Transcription we arose we were each wiping away the tears. This was a unique experience in my life, but it only illustrates that intimate fellowship that he manifested toward his students.

My ministry was in the mid-west Kansas, Oklahoma, Colorado and Nebraska. I chose the smaller towns. For 18[[?]] years I served home missionary churches, believing that these smaller places deserved the best. Also I had a feeling that the closer contacts in the smaller places produced results out of proportion to their seeming importance.

I have reason to believe that I chose wisely judging by results. Dr. Rahill, then pastor of Central Church - known as Dr C M Sheldons[[?]] church, - told me that if it were not for the young people from my church - sent to Washburn[[?]] College he would be absolutely without young people leadership. In Manhattan, Ks, where is located the Agriculture College, I attended a Sunday evening Church Service and found the entire leadership among his young people staffed from my young people in attendance at the college. The pastor was also one of "my boys".

My seven sons, their mother passed on 11 yrs ago, are all fine Christian men. Each considered their life's work as a privilege to serve. Two chose the ministry. One medicine, 4 became teachers, each out standing in his own place. At present one is a chaplain in the Navy somewhere in the Pacific. One is at the head of a Hospita in the Army stationed in Hawaii. One a Field Director in Red Cross in Italy.
