Includes works described in Waldeck's unpublished Catalogue des dessins, and works included in Waldeck's published Voyage pittoresque et archéologique. These works capture Waldeck's view and interpretation of his modern Mexico, recording the dress and customs of the people and the antiquities, including Mayan ruins. A variety of regions are represented including Palenque, Tabasco, Teotihuacan, and Xochicalco.
