User-Contributed Transcription 3or suggestion tending toward fadism, which is only another name for hysterical innovation.The most unfortunate victims of these hysterical on slaughts are the public schools of large cities where the management of them changes with the shifting of party power.The basiclla? of this kind of hysteria has devolved to ^an almost alarming extent at the Carlisle Indian Industrial school during the last three or four years. This school was established for the one single, simple purpose of preparing the Indian youths, boys and girls, for absorption into the civilization of the country, by affording them an opportunity to learn how the world's work is done; and to qualify them to become active
