Dear Mr. Conroy-
After our conversation on the telephone
this evening I thought I would just drop you
a line to say, if you get any further
information on Joseph Conroy, please write
me at my Aspen address. I would appreciate
this very much.
I have very little information except for
the fact my mother, VIRGINIA MAC[?] Kenworthy
married my father J. Conroy in Jefferson City, MO
in 1926.
He was an artist & also stage manager
for the Miller Bros. theatre [?] in Jeff. City, Mo.
He painted the vaudeville Backdrop for many
of the theatres in the Mid-west.
We [?] his age to be around 85.
We last traced his whereabouts to Guthrie, Okla-
about 1931-32, & [?] told he was in
advertising in Chicago also, [?] you later
I enjoyed your T.V. program very much,
the comments you made about the funding of the
writers & artists during the early depression years
were extremely interesting to me, Naturally when I
heard the name Jack Conroy of Moberly, 70. I
became interested in talking with you hoping you
might be a relative of my father, Joseph Conroy.
