Otherwise:
As of mid-August, Amy + I will be leaving Carbondale, at least for a while. Until October We'll be seeking El Dorado in Europe, gallivanting in London, Paris, Rome, Venice, Florence, Amsterdam, + other assorted places of high couth. After October 1, or at least for a few months, we'll be at the following address:

The charm of the place is it's equidistant (about 5 minutes) from the Berkeley Library + the Frisco race track, with a very nice view of the East Bay (which the condo is on).
Right now we're moving mountains of furniture, records, + books, + storing even more, is spasmodic surges of activity. Wish you were here to watch + laugh.
What else? I got new eyeglasses, + found the world a brighter, though not better, place. I got all the cavities in my teeth filled again — + rejected the doctor's invitation for another root canal and tooth cap (despite his dire predictions) because i wanted to have a few teeth left without caps of one kind. Most important, I got a thorough physical exam, + the doctor said I was in pretty good health (even my heart, which showed, he said, few of the kinds of irregular rhythms it had been prone to since my heart attack of a few years back) + might live to be a hundred.
