Summary The upper half contains "A brief account of the execution of the six militia men" and a poem "Mournful Tragedy." The lower half has other accounts of Jackson's temper and poor judgment, including massacres of Native Americans, an alleged attack upon Samuel Jackson with a cane sword, and an account signed by Thomas Hart Benton detailing his fight with Jackson at Nashville on Sept. 4, 1818.
