User-Contributed Transcription Depmt of War4th June 1825.Sir,In the absence of the Secretary of War the President of the United States directs me to transmit to you the enclosed Commission of Commissioner under the Act therein named, and copies of letters of instructions to the Commissioners previously appointed under the same Act, which you will regard as your instructions in the discharge of the duties assigned to you. Should the other Commissioners have proceeded to the frontier of Missouri to enter on their duties you will join them with as little delay as possible.I have the honor to beYr Ob St.C.
