Description Large calligraphic capital at the beginning of each song; music arranged on 5-line staves, in double-staff round notation characteristic of Italian keyboard music of the period.
All songs appear to be unpublished, with the exception of "Non più lagrime nò non piu sospir" on leaves 93-94, which appeared in Martino Pesenti's Arie e voce commode da cantarsi, printed in Venice in 1633. Weakness and breaking apart of paper due to oxidation of iron-gall ink around large calligraphic initials.

Summary Unsigned, undated ms. anthology of Italian arias and songs of the seventeenth century, probably transcribed by a copyist and bound for the Borghese family between 1680 and 1700. The volume includes music for 34 solo vocal pieces with basso continuo, all with words in Italian. The majority songs are probably by Bernardo Pasquini, one, beginning "Al tramontar del giorno", has a caption with his name: "La rosa del Sig. Bernardo Pasquini"; Pasquini was attached to the Borghese household in Rome.
