Description Collection of correspondence related to the publication of John M. Weatherwax’s English translation of the Popol Vuh that would include water color paintings by the artist Diego Rivera. Present are four telegrams sent by Rivera from Mexico asking for more time to complete the pictures, and arranging logistics for their transfer and payment.

Because Rivera wired me for five day extension of time [crossed out: I have not had in delivery regarding pictures] on his contract I have [crossed out: been] found it [margin note: copy] impossible to get all the money needed to pay you in the time you gave [crossed out: me]. However I have a promise of money on Monday. Do not know sum yet but will write it all to you.  with the hope that its size will enable you to grant eight days after for payment of balance.
