User-Contributed Transcription Albina I think will be a help mate for him but I am apprehensive that he will always be poor- there is so much more to do on this farm than he possibly can do in order to get any profit from itIt seems you just begun to realize what I have so often told you that you ought to have some end in view some object to fix your mind upon in order to make your course straight without which you can not expect to attain to any thing very excellent I have often told you to "look up" you know- but I dont mean up over other mens heads gazing and careening after the phantom Fame or mounting on the whirlwind Ambition- But look up, for direction in the path of duty for that tune Humility which while it bends the will in complete and sweet submission to God enables the man and enables him to face his fellow man many situations with more true dignity than all that pomp and circumstances can give I have felt very anxious about "what you work do in the world but I feel comparitively easy about it now Tis better to follow the direction "Be not anxious ye and remember that" Your Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things- and press on in the path of duty so far as we can see the way clear and He will give light and SuccourThe least thought of you being a physican seems very very irksome to me but if you carefully watch the indications of providence & submissively take the post alotted you you will doubtless find enough to do
