User-Contributed Transcription I can see no insurmountable obstacle to you looking to the ministry if you willing to ask and to recieve according to the direction and promise. My grace is sufficient for thee - but let me have more of your thoughts on this subject do it will gratify me very much and benefit you. How much money did you recieve at Turner I understood you that the number of scholars was limited to 50 if so and you had 75 or more your pay should be 90,$ or more instead of 60. Very dear Brother I find Mother has nearly filled the sheet, and am very glad of it, for I suppose 'tis worth more than 1/2 dozen sheets of any writing. I feel verily guilty that we have not written more. but Mother has mentioned one reason, & another is we have been, as usual much hurried with work. But the family is so small I expect we shall have quite a leisure time through out the winter and consequently mean to write more in future. I had an offer yesterday of a school in Brownville at 7/6 per week. Am about deciding to tell them 9/ or not at all. I don't like to establish a precedent, teaching for so low wages; especially in winter/ If I teach for that in the winter I cannot expect, when it is known, to get more than $1.00 in Summer.Your last letter (or rather, last but one, written thanksgiving day) gave me mingled feelings, of pleasure and pain; but I have not time or room to answer it now. Am very glad, dear brother, to have you write your feeling & thoughts, so much; and you ought to, when you are away so long. We shall hardly feel acquainted with each others characters, if we don't be in the habit of interchanging thoughts & feelings occasionally while
