User-Contributed Transcription AntoinetteBangor June 14 1855 Bangor, Maine Thursday morn June 14, 1855.Dearest Isaac, I got up ever so early this morning, by the way I've seen the sunrise about every day since you left, thinking I would write to you the very first thing, but I have done a number of things first. I wrote a letter to Augusta Walker, at Barnstead (you remember one came from her just before you left) then Mayo waked and I washed & fed him - then at breakfast - and then Lucy and I went into the garden sometime, and over to see Mr. Harlow's garden & down to Mr. Page's beside. Mrs. Harlow talked some as usual - told about her 'sturtiums and Springos etc. But Miriam Page amused me most. She a perfect little paddy. Did you ever see her? And yet she is kind & good hearted, I imagine. Your second letter gladdened me yesterday - dated Lewistown, Pen.. How would I delight to see the mountains with you - how grand it must be. I want to know the story of the Alleghanies - you are beyond them by this time mayhap. I have written two letters to Elyria. Last one mailed Monday. We had a letter from Anna Monday. She is expecting you this week. Greatly disappointed at the result of the plans for visiting - thunks Milo have peculiar attractions.
