User-Contributed Transcription to the village, and go out by the next mail - a perfect scrawl of a letter written in all the hurry and bustle of a house full of company, little Mayo pulling my sleeve, and all sorts of annoyances. I fear it was hardly worth the sending. I thought all the while too that you would not get it - now I think you will get it and that I might have written another by the next mail, but it is too late now to write again to St. Paul - only a few days and one a Sabbath, to send in from Brownville. So I will send this to Elyria I suppose. That sounds like you would be homeward bound ere long. What will Mayo say when you come? He will know who you are this time. He is a perfect comfort to me when you are away. He comes and says "Mayo want - Mayo sunny bonnet on." Then he runs out and snatches a few "posies" - clover and buttercups - and runs in, for the flies are too thick to stay many minutes. The other day, he broke a flower from the stock and brought it to me saying sadly "Mama, - put 'it on aden". He has not
