User-Contributed Transcription inclin'd to call it Gratiola aurea, golden hyssop "borders of ponds & Sandy wet place" if convenient tell me if it is Stem creeping at the base also the linnean Class & order. I find here a new Hypericum (H. Canadense) & two Asters present No. of List 378 I'm afraid so much of this Botany is getting to be an old and dull story but such as I have give I thee & try to make up in quantity for the deficience in quality. Charles has broken up an acre of grasswand which he preposes to Sow with Winter Wheat tomorrow N.W. Corner of Home lot.Joseph has not taken any thing that can be call'd medicine since you went away roots & yarbs nor nothing Mrs. Weston brought him some nice Syrup which they made of Sassaperrilla etc. etc. but I cant get him to take it yet I dont know but he is going to by & by Charles is waiting I cant write any more now
