User-Contributed Transcription Home Dec 25, 1854Dear Sister Anna,I have but little time to write this evening, and moreover I believe I am not in debt to you, - but think I must write a little letter "nevertheless" - A letter from Isaac came last Saturday - He writes that he hopes to get away immediately after the 26th - and will return by way of Elyria- Says he may be obliged to stop some days in Chicago - and in New York City also, it may be - I do hope not long, for you can imagine I suppose that I am impatient to see him - These last weeks do seem so long - But have I not every thing to make me glad and thankful? If he only comes at last, safe and well, and finds us in health, what more can I ask? Isaac said Charles was coming by way of Written along the left side:I am just finishing a little thibet dress for Mayo - Dark redHe wears drawers - short dresses & common print aprons with long sleeves - He is outdoors aboutevery day -
