User-Contributed Transcription are a good many apple trees near it. It seems to be a favorite retreat for the birds - they sing most delightfully all around us in the morning. But I'll say no more of the school house, lest I have room for nothing besides. I have noticed it more prominently than I had any intention of doing. The Merrimack Co. Conference of churches met here two weeks since. There were 19 minister present and the meetings which were very interesting, continued two days Tuesday & Wednesday. I left school & attended. No revivals were reported, but a general good state of feeling among the churches and occasional conversions. We can but hope these meetings will be the means of good here. Our Sabbath congregations are unusually attentive and solumn. Mr. Will sees at last - among his people, appearances which must gladden his heart, as they do the hearts of every Christian. There have been several hopeful conversions there - three or four heads of families among the number. The interest seems now increasing. Stillness characterizes the work. Good Mr Willy - How long he has labored among that people to human appearance in vain. May God bless his labor yet more and more. When he pleases, you can cause the word of truth to take effect. It is very pleasant to tear of such a state of things in Milo. - hope it will continue. How delightful it is to see those in the morning of life, choosing their Savior for their friend. ? Piety is always lovely, but I often think it is
