User-Contributed Transcription sunsets to night. It seems the more pleasant because it is the Sabbath. Probably you have been at Newport to day. Does the preacher there improve, or do you still prefer his predecessor? Do you not feel almost as much wearied on the Sabbath as on other days? I do not perceive that you have a moment of leisure. I hope some one of those assistants of yours, will soon be able to relieve you of care and labor as much as you did Mr Chase. Though perhaps you would not be so ready to relinquish your duties to another as was he. I have been at church all day to day Mother has not been at all since H. was sick and one of us always stay at home with him. George stayed to day. O these precious Sabbaths and these sermons what a privilege to be permitted to enjoy them, and how important that they be improved. (Monday morn) You will think it takes me a long time to write, and as it has this time, for I can find only a few moment at once. I have considerable to think of this week besides home and friends as it is the last week of school, and the examining committee came to see us on Friday.
